Standby! We’ve crammed even more into the Gaydar App and it will be ready to download just in time for your summer vaycay as free update from the App Store in the next couple of weeks. Download the latest version.

The ‘More’ screen is now home to two new icons. If you’d like a little piece and quiet you can now turn Gaydar’s App Chat off, and if measuring distance in kilometers confuses you, you can now display distance in Miles. Did you know, you can also customise this screen by pressing and holding any of the icons until they all wiggle. You can then position the icons just they way you like them (you don’t need to wait for this new version to do wiggle).

We’ve also made editing your profile even easier with the new ‘content screen’ – allowing you to be a little more creative with the  ’Looking For’ and ‘About Me’ sections of your profile. Don’t forget, whatever you update on the app is automatically synced to your online profile and vice versa!

Try Gaydar Beta on your iPad

Got yourself a glossy iPad – why not give Gaydar’s new look a go from the comfort of your bed, bath and beyond… It isn’t perfect yet and there are a few known issues. Get started by tapping Safari and then visiting http://beta.gaydar.co.uk

Horizontal Scrolling: If you can’t see the entire screen by pinching in, try slowly dragging two fingers horizontally left or right within the area you’d like to scroll. This works on both iPad 1 and 2. If you’re lucky enough to have iOS 5 Beta on your iPad you can do this with a single finger. Neat huh! ]#

Pop-ups:  Safari might ask for your authorisation each time Gaydar delivers your messages or lets you know Friends and Favourites are online. We recommend turning these off in My Gaydar > Settings and adjust your Messaging, Alerts and Customise settings until you’re happy with the behaviour on your iPad. If you’re not getting any popups and you want them, make sure you allow popups in the Safari settings on your iPad.

What else can you find? Let us know – mail us support@gaydar.co.uk making sure you highlight you’re trying out the Beta on your iPad, and theVersion of iOS (find this by tapping Settings > General > About. Enjoy!
