Zodra iemand jou een knipoog stuurt, ontvang je een online bericht om je hiervan op de hoogte te stellen. Je hebt dan de mogelijkheid om zijn profiel te bekijken en eventueel een knipoog of een online bericht terug te sturen, of…om hem te negeren.

Let wel: Binnen 24 uur tijd kan je slechts één keer een knipoog naar iemand sturen, en de algemene limiet voor het aantal knipoogjes per dag  is 1000. Knipoogjes zijn gratis en tellen niet mee met de beperkingen voor Gastleden.

Hoe kan ik naar iemand Knipogen? Klik op het knipoog ikoontje op het profiel van de persoon waaraan je een knipoog wilt sturen. Een bevestiging hiervan zal dan in een pop up venster te zien zijn – dit venster kan je zelf aan of uit zetten door naar Instellingen te gaan. Als de knipoog niet geactiveerd wordt dan betekent dit dat de ontvanger liever geen knipoogjes wilt ontvangen.

Hoe schakel ik Knipoogjes uit? Premiumleden kunnen ze geheel uitschakelen door naar ‘Instellingen’ gevolgd door ‘Berichten’ te gaan en het vinkje bij Knipogen weg te halen. Gastleden kunnen Knipoogjes niet uitschakelen maar…

Als iemand blijft knipogen naar je en je hebt dit liever niet… Vraag hem dan vriendelijk hiermee op te houden, of blokkeer hem. Let wel, als je iemand blokkkeert dan kan hij je ook geen berichten meer sturen en kan je niet meer met hem chatten.

De Goede Sint is er vroeg bij dit jaar…Heel binnenkort lanceren we een spannende update voor de iPhone en iPod Touch app met daarin Knipoogjes, verbeteringen aan G-SPOT en nog meer verrassingen. Wil je meer weten?

Good news! The latest version of the Gaydar App is available to download direct from the App Store. This update resolves a number of bugs including:

★ Fixes crash when editing your profile
★ NEW – use your voice and Siri to write messages and chat
★ Push Notifications and Red Badge fix
★ Friends & Favourites now load in full (not just those online)
★ Fixes mini crashes in Chat
★ Mail box to and from labels corrected

So, what about Siri and the Gaydar App? If you’re clutching an iPhone 4S activate Siri (Settings – General – Siri) and you can use your voice to write and reply to messages, or why not Chat with other guys with your voice instead of tapping in what you’d like to say! When you’ve arrange a date with somebody; why not tell Siri to remind you? Siri + Gaydar = the perfect match.

The Gaydar App is available for iPhone 4S, 4, 3GS with iOS 5 and 4. iPod Touch 3rd Generation and iPad 1 and 2 in compatibility mode.

We are aware that Apple’s latest software update (iOS 5) has resulted in a few bugs appearing in the Gaydar App including the About Me and Looking For section of profiles not displaying correctly and the app ‘mini’ crashing when you attempt a Global Search.

Behind the scenes our App Development Team have been busy working closely with Apple to ensure the Gaydar App works beautifully on iOS 5 and 4. Sadly due to the complexities of the app it’s taking a little longer than expected to release an update. The good news is we are expecting an update of the app to resolve any iOS 5 issues in the next week and then, just before Christmas, even more features will be added to the app. Watch out for sneaky peeks coming soon…
